About me
Welcome! My name is Allison. I am a Baltimore based yoga teacher. My yoga journey started in the South of France practicing in a small studio in Antibes. I later trained with YogaWorks under Birgitte Kristen, Olivia Barry, and Ana Hernandez.
I fell in love with this practice instantly. With a background in dance, I felt a similar opportunity for self-expression that I had growing up dancing. In addition to the movements that seemed to have woken up my inner child, I will always remember my first savasana. As I finally relaxed onto my mat after a vigorous vinyasa practice, I felt a sense of relief that brought tears to my eyes. It was different from any other form of exercise (and I’ve tried many). It felt like I had finally tuned into the parts of myself I had been neglecting. I had shed a glimmer of light on the dark places within me and in doing so I was able to start healing, find deeper clarity, let go and move forward with a map in hand.
That first class was the start of a lifelong practice. I knew early on that I felt a calling to teach and to hold space for others in the same way space was held for me. My classes aim to provide a similar safe and non-judgmental atmosphere that will help empower, balance, and support you along your journey through self-inquiry.
For me, Yoga is the practice of returning home to ourselves. It gives us tools to dig beyond our outer layers of identity and access our innermost truth. We can use this truth to gain clarity, to help us navigate our daily lives, and to find peace through it all. With a consistent physical, mental, and spiritual yoga practice, we can access our vitality and our true potential, moving forward from the inside out.
I am honored to be here learning, practicing, and teaching what I love.
